Our mission was to craft a refined, image-first site that showcases McAlpine’s signature homes and journal stories, while making it simple for prospective clients to learn about their design philosophy and reach out.
We designed the homepage to feature large, atmospheric imagery of McAlpine’s most iconic projects—like the award-winning Sand Castle beach house—paired with short, evocative project titles to draw users in. The portfolio section displays project types such as Manse and Radiance, each with compelling headlines and concise excerpts to spark curiosity. A dedicated journal area brings McAlpine’s narrative voice forward, sharing design insights and award highlights with elegant typography and easy navigation. To ensure a seamless experience, we implemented a clear menu structure: Projects, Journal, Story, and Contact. Every page adapts beautifully on desktop and mobile, preserving the visual impact. Behind the scenes, the firm now manages updates effortlessly—adding new homes, articles, or images through a modern content management system.


The refreshed website truly reflects McAlpine’s aesthetic—timeless yet contemporary—and now better represents their range and expertise. Visitors stay longer, explore featured projects more deeply, and get a clear sense of the firm’s philosophy. The team gained confidence in maintaining content independently.
